F.A.R.E. has successfully run the mini Olympics for the past five years. Last year was no different with 18 primary schools and over 630 young people taking part. For the past two years staff has also delivered a 6 week training program for all the schools taking part. The aim of the day is to bring young people from all over the east end together in a safe environment, providing them the opportunity to participate in sport and interact with each other prior to going to secondary school. “Mer Tae Me” is a 15 week personal development programme targeted at young people who are heavily involved in gang and territorial issues, or at high risk. The programme was put together to help explore and tackle the problems that these young people face. By FARE FARE
