Glasgow East 5K Fun Run
& Big Day Out!

 Tollcross Park, Sunday 28 June 10.30am

With Spring in the air, put a spring in your step and go for it with this year’s Glasgow East 5K Fun Run and Big Day Oot! For the first time, the 5K Fun Run partners up with local arts groups across Glasgow East to present a whole day of family fun in The Big Day Oot! Fun Rin in Tollcross Park, Glasgow East 28 June 2009

The 5K Fun Run

Gather at 10am for the big warm up, get on your marks get set and go at 10.30am. It’s free, and you could hop, jump, walk, skip it… whatever you want - so no excuses! And for everyone that completes the 5K Fun Run, there is a winner’s medal and goodie bag.

The Big Day Oot!

A lively carnival procession will kick off from St Michael’s Primary, Springfield Road at 12 noon, winding its way through the streets of Glasgow East and finishing in Tollcross Park where it launches The Big Day Oot at 12.30pm.

With live music stages, a children’s village, stalls and much more The Big Day Oot will be great fun for all ages.

Cllr George Redmond, Chair of the Event Planning Group said “Whether you can run or not, this day will be a great day out for all the family. Walk the 5K with the wee ones or start training now and surprise yourself with what you can achieve. This will be a great day making a positive impact on Tollcross and Glasgow East”.
