The Big Together event at the Bridge, Easterhouse 6/3/10The BIG together event

 Saturday 6th March 2010. 11am - 3pm FREE event

everyone is welcome.

It’s all about you and your community, local organisations and voluntary groups working together to reduce crime and make people feel better about their community as part of the “Cleansweep” week.

There’ll be activities for all the family, including stalls and a pool party!

Celebrate historic event in Lochwood, Easterhouse

Cluniac Celebration 1100 years – Glasgow sends letter to Paisley Abbey.

Commemoration of events 30th March. Come and take part in photo shoot and reception

Since this event happened in Bishop’s Palace in Lochwood, there will be a commemoration at Bishop Loch, where Bishop Devine, Archbishop Conti and the Minister of Glasgow Cathedral, Dr Laurence Whitley, will view the letter. There will be a photocall for the press and members of the public are invited to attend. Afterwards there will be a reception at St Mungo’s Museum for members of the community, to meet the Bishops and Ministers.

Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education publishes report on John Wheatley College
Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education (HMIe).

The findings relate to the key principles of high quality learning, learner engagement and quality culture.
HMIE is confident that:

  • learners are progressing well and achieving relevant, high quality outcomes;
  • the college has in place high quality learning and teaching processes;
  • learners are actively engaged in enhancing their own learning and the work and life of the college;
  • and
  • the college is led well and is enhancing the quality of its services for learners and other stakeholders.
