H4U - Working together to improve
youth health

Our aim is to support youth organisations develop a health improvement focus.

Health issues will be identified and prioritised by staff, young people and volunteers.


Health for you - Improving yout5h health inNorth East GlasgowChild and Youth Health Event

H4U Youth Health and the Health Improvement Seniors (Schools), are hosting a Child and Youth Health Event, for those who work with children/young people.

Tuesday 19 March 2013, 3.15-6pm, at the Bridge, Easterhouse.

 

You can attend:

  • the whole event 3.15-6pm,
  • the first half only 3.15-5.30pm, or
  • the second half only 5.30-6pm.

On the booking form (one per person attending), please ensure that you complete your first, second and third choice for each workshop timeslot and and return to H4U@ggc.scot.nhs.uk by Friday 22 February.

Resource Library

H4U now have a resource library to enable and support health improvement work taking place in schools and youth providers. The library contains resources across a variety of health topics, which can be borrowed at no cost!

How to borrow resources

A library request form should be submitted to H4U@ggc.scot.nhs.uk and following a loan, it is requested that a feedback form is returned.

Youth Health grants to apply for from YouthBank Health Fund

YouthBank

YouthBank are a unique grant giving project for young people, run by young people, supported by YoMo, a youth empowerment charity working in North East Glasgow.

Young Grant Makers

YoMo provides training to support young people to become Young Grant Maker's. The Young Grant Makers review application forms submitted by young people aged 12-25, who are looking to undertake a project within their community. Within North East Glasgow, there are three YouthBanks, operating in each of the community planning partnership areas.

H4U Health Fund managed by Youth Bank

H4U Youth Health, part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, are working together with youth providers to improve youth health. H4U has made available a Health Fund, managed by the YouthBanks to enable young people to make a positive difference to their health and the health of others in the community.
