Glasgow Community Planning Partnership (GCPP)
Glasgow Community Planning Partnership brings key public, private, community and voluntary representatives together. The aim is to delivering better, more joined-up public services in the city.
The East Centre & Calton LCPP together with Baillieston, Shettleston & Greater Easterhouse LCPP forms the East area. The East area is served locally by a dedicated team of staff from Glasgow Community Planning Ltd.

Glasgow East Regeneration Agency (GERA)
GERA’s Community Engagement Team is made up of specialist advisers supporting local people to get involved in the community planning process and regeneration of their areas.
Community planning is about improving public services and making sure that local people have the opportunity to influence and make a difference in the plans for their communities. This covers a range of issues and services that matter to local residents, including education, employment, housing, health, safety, community facilities, provision for young people and much more.

Glasgow City Council Local Area Committee
The main role of Area Committees is to monitor how council services are delivered and developed locally, helping to ensure that services reflect the policies of the council and are responding to local needs and opportunities.
Funding for community groups and voluntary organisations
To assist the area committees in their role they are allocated an budget, totalling approximately £1.7m across the city. The budget are mainly used for grants, to local community and voluntary organisations, to provide services that will help to achieve the council’s objectives.

Culture and Sport Glasgow manages, grant-aids and supports Community Facilities across the city and is responsible for the letting of schools, public halls and the Mitchell Theatre.
Glasgow Culture and Sport
Providing community facilities, a valuable resource within any community, with venues and catering available for all occasions; community, public and family events.
They also provide communty letting of Glasgow schools.
