Youth Network
The Greater Easterhouse Youth Network was established in May 2003 by the Greater Easterhouse Partnership to improve the delivery of services to young people and provide a strategic approach to service development.

Mission Statement
“The Greater Easterhouse Youth Network believes that young people are an extremely valuable asset in the community, and will work to ensure the needs of young people in Greater Easterhouse are addressed and acted upon.”
Purpose of Greater Easterhouse Youth Network
The purpose of the Greater Easterhouse Youth Network is to:
- Co-ordinate information on needs of, and services for, young people
- Disseminate information on youth work in Greater Easterhouse
- Set priorities for youth work in Greater Easterhouse
- Identify issues for action and develop appropriate responses
General Principles
The Greater Easterhouse Youth Network strives to adhere to the following general principles:
- Strive to establish Youth Issues as integral to all strategic planning in local government, local enterprise and local community development structures
- Continue to strive to establish relevant Youth Representation in forums / tiers of local consultation
- Continue to promote positive images and messages about local young people both within and out with Greater Easterhouse
- Continue to use plain language wherever possible to encourage involvement of young people
