Gladiator History

Gladiators started as a spin off from its parent body the Easterhouse Weightlifting Club. The club was formed in a stairhead landing at 2 Kildermorie Path in 1986.

Who are we?

Gladiators is a children’s charity all profits from our company go direct to sustain the children’s activities we operate in our local community.

What are our objectives?

Our theme is physical activity through play at an early age and continuing through sport.

What activities do we sustain?

Gladiators operate 5 local play halls in outreach areas of our community free of charge to local kids.

Gladiators operates a summer program free of charge to community groups

Gladiators operate free or reduced charges for a range of activities including 7 a side football lets, coaching sessions, Mini Kickers, fitness gym, Olympic weightlifting, power development for sports and dance classes. We also operate a community transport service.

Training courses are available free to local groups or residents subject to availability for the following SFA D and E badges; goalkeeper courses, community sports leader’s award, BWLA gym instructor, first aid, Midas driving course, child protection in sport, working with children, Autistic awareness and many more.

Who are our funders?

The local Social Inclusion Partnership Management Board. Sport Scotland, Children in Need, Soapworks Foundation Glasgow, Variety Club, Tulloch Construction and the Local Physical Activity Group.

Where are we?

Take the Easterhouse Glasgow Fort junction 10 cut of the M8 Motorway. We are directly at the back of Morrisons next to the sport centre on Auchinlea Road. Why not have the kids visit when you shop?
