Glasgow Employment Multiplier Project

The Glasgow Employment Multiplier (GEM.) Project is a new collaboration between Glasgow City Council, John Wheatley and Langside Colleges and is part-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF).

Eligible adults will be offered a unique route to access Social Care qualifications that will be in demand in the care employment sector.

As the Social Care sector is currently experiencing recruitment difficulties there are excellent opportunities for accessing a wide variety of work in different settings at the end of the study period.

Breakthrough...into Employment

Long term unemployed?
Develop new skills?
Improve your life?

Glasgow East Regeneration Agency delivers a programme that can offer a staged, supportive approach focusing on personal development, careers guidance, job search and signposting.

Friendly, supportive staff work with small groups (no more than 10 in any one programme) to build confidence, self esteem and core skills. Once the initial six-week personal development programme is completed, participants will receive support to identify what they want to do and how to achieve their goals.

Breakthrough runs for only 12 hours per week and does not affect benefits..

Contact us for next start date....

If you, or someone you know, would like to find out more about the Breakthrough programme please contact Jinty or Jim on 141 7814020, or drop in to Opportunities into Work at Shandwick Shopping Centre.
