Two new learning centres in East Glasgow Learning Network are opening their doors
Cranhill IT Learning Centre
The new Cranhill IT Learning Centre will have an Open Day from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday 12/08/08. It is based in the Cranhill Community Project, 109 Bellrock St, Cranhill.

Sandyhills IT Learning Centre
New Sandyhills IT Learning Centre will have an Open day in the Sandyhills Tenants Hall, 20 Balbeggie St from 11am to 3pm on Wednesday 13/08/08.
Another IT learning centre joins the East Glasgow Learning Network with 10 brand new state of the art PCs. Come along and have a chat with the John Wheatley College staff and find out more.

Supporting Young People to Move On
Cllr James Coleman, Deputy Leader of Glasgow City Council, yesterday launched The Transitions to Learning and Work Programme, an exciting pilot programme for young people emerging from ‘looked-after’ situations, including those accommodated by Social Work Services and the criminal justice system.

The "old" Baillieston, Shettleston and Greater Easterhouse Pathfinder
You can still access the "old" Pathfinder on www.greatereasterhouse.co.uk while the information is being transferred over to the new design. And the new Pathfinder links into the pages that have not yet been transferred over to the new design. The browsers back button will take you back to the East Glasgow Pathfinder.
All updates and new information will only be included in the East Glasgow Pathfinder.

Doors Open Day
15 - 20 September 2008
More than 20 buildings in East Glasgow, some of them not otherwise open to the public, will open their doors Monday 15 - Sunday 21 September.
In Easterhouse there you can take a vintage Glasgow Cooperation open top bus for tour around architectural gems like Provan Hall, the Bridge and Blairtumock House.
Other buildings to open up is John Wheatley College East End Campus in Haghill and St Mary's R.C. Church where once Celtic Football Club was started.
